Saturday - Good Morning, New Orleans!

Off exploring, looking to see who we could see

My friends David and Lesa are the dearest.
They went to the bookroom with me where I finally got to see and put my hands on Blood on the Bayou.
I told you before, I am not even going to pretend to be "cool" about this.
Pffffft.
I am over the moon about this.
And David and Lesa indulged me in that total lack of cool.

Serendipity
Don't we love serendipity?
There was a lot of it floating around in New Orleans this past week.
It was in good supply in the book room on Saturday, as David bumped into a couple of his favorite authors.

And, ME TOO!!!

And -

Lesa, too!

After some play (and shopping!) time in the book room, I got to spend a little bit of quiet time in the bar (which substituted as our den/our lounge/our reading room/our prop your tired ol' feet up and rest room) with Dru Ann.

And then got to spend some much needed, and much enjoyed quiet time with my friend Maddee (although I'm not sure how I left here with no pictures of her sweet face!)

and the amazing Harley Jane Kozack

Then -
on to the Blood on the Bayou anthology signing.
So much fun!

Then dinner with some of my chicks (it was hard keeping my chicks all gathered together!)

But worth all the work, because we laughed and laughed and laughed and laughed.

And we ate well

And then - time for the auction

And we laughed more

This was such a highlight!!

I really wanted this wig!

 Chris Grabenstein is hysterical

Helen and Sarah look to be taking this verrrry seriously!

And . . . .
Back to the bar!

Where we laughed

 and laughed

and laughed

and laughed some more

Nite, Nite,
New Orleans

Oh, Maddee, wasn't it fun?! Toronto? We'll do it all again! Love you, sweet woman.

Great photos, Kaye, and it was wonderful to finally meet you!
Wasn't the auction a hoot? And they raised so much money for the New Orleans Public Library!

Oh, Ramona. A hoot and a holler.
I had told our friend David Chaudoir that he was in for a treat.
(I really wanted that wig though).
So fun to FINALLY meet you!
