May 4, 2017

Some days are hard.

May 4, 2017 will remain in my mind as the day representatives we elected to serve our best interests let us know exactly how they feel about us with a big "Fuck You."

If you're not one of the wealthy 1%, you are simply not important to this administration.

I've gotten mad, I've cried, and now I'm going to put it to bed for awhile.

JUST for awhile.

I do still have some fight left, just not tonight.

Tonight I'm going to think some good thoughts, continue adding to my forever and ever long list of things I hope to do in September when I make my first trip to Paris with girlfriends.

At the top of my list is a visit to Shakespeare & Co.

All this, of course, dependent on whether or not we've all been nuked off the face of the earth by then, or if I don't die from complications from a common cold because I can't afford to go to the doctor.

In the meantime, I'm marking November 6, 2018 on my calendar - how 'bout you?

It'll be our turn to say "Fuck You" to representatives who do not represent anyone other than themselves while lining their pockets nicely.

If you're interested in who voted how, take a look:

And if you're unclear on what this new health care bill means, take a look (it ain't pretty):

It didn't take long for The American Medical Association to speak out against it:

Ms Barley. Count your blessings that Esthetically Challenged Syndrome is
not terminal, though there is no known cure at this time.

Dear Anonymous (which does not surprise me), I believe the preferred spelling is "aesthetically."
