Admittedly, I've missed the mark a time or two.
Chalk it up to intense emotion and forgive me - AND correct me.
But I also hope you'll share these facts.
We all have people in our lives who don't agree with us.
That's fine.
But I'd like to think they're learning the facts.
Disagreeing based on their own intense emotion is something I refuse to try to understand when it comes to putting children and babies in cages with no firm plan in place for reuniting them with their families.
They could remain separated for years.
They could remain separated forever.
They could become orphans.
These are the things this country will be judged on in history.
We'll be judged no better than Nazi Germany.
These are the things we're being judged by right now by the rest of the world.
"They're breaking the law" is a bullshit excuse. They're not.
"They're all criminals" is a bullshit excuse.

The First Amendment which ratified in 1791 states that "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof." In Everson v. Board of Education (1947), Justice Hugo Black wrote: "In the words of Thomas Jefferson, the clause against establishment of religion by law was intended to erect a wall of separation between church and state."
