This has been a "dream photo" of mine for a long, long time. So happy to have it finally come true.
We got home last night after two weeks on the road. Paris and Amsterdam.
Annabelle took a separate vacation.
She went to her "Happy Place."
Melissa Hemmings Helms' Woof Pack Pet Services, which is, truthfully, the only place we would feel comfortable leaving the little princess for that long. While we missed her, we did not, for one minute, worry. We received updates and photos and knew she was well cared for and having fun.
But oh my. How lovely is it to be welcomed home by the fur baby you love.
It's good to be back in Meat Camp where the stars are more plentiful and shine brighter than any place else on earth; they were the first thing we noticed when we parked our car here at home last night, and they made me cry.
I love my life and if there's any time I forget how lucky I am I can look over and see a man I love. A dog I love. And the stars over Meat Camp, NC.
That gal who said "there's no place like home" knew exactly what she was talking about.

I admire the way you express that love of home. It just makes me feel good.
